Transdanubian Bike Tours
Bike and Equipment Hire
Our touring bikes are exclusively sourced from the famous Dutch manufacturer Koga. The company is renowned for their hand-built frames that offer strength and reliability. Koga is the number one choice for touring cyclists.
Below you can find bikes of various styles, ranging from the sporty to the more upright and relaxed. If you don't see a bike that suits your riding style, let us know and we'll do our best to find the right bicycle for you. Our bikes are maintained to the highest standards. We aim to keep prices low and competitive and therefore most of our bikes can be hired for 30 Euros per day, including the services of an experienced guide.
We also rent out pannier bags and camping equipment, including tents, sleeping bags and cooking gear. Please write and let us know what you need.
This is a steel-framed touring bike with 26 inch wheels making it suitable for shorter riders. A lovely stable touring bike that is so typical of Koga Miyata.
A superbly solid frame for 28" wheels, the Traveller KS-TR 28 is particularly well suited for longer journeys on mainly surfaced roads. Alongside its cycle touring applications, this frame is often used as the basis for a fast all round bike or as a fast touring bike. The riding position is relatively sporty. The stiff but lightweight 7005 aluminium tubing ensures excellent stability, making this bike suitable for use with heavy luggage even off well surfaced roads.
A large aluminium-frame suitable for taller ladies.
Considered to be one of the finest touring frames ever made. This one has been refurbished and fitted with Campagnolo components for a real sporty ride.
One of the finest touring frames ever made, like its pair in grey, this has been refurbished and fitted with Campagnolo components.

This is a steel-frame Koga Miyata Traveller from 1984 that's been stored away for many years and is in mint condition.
Another steel-framed Koga Miyata which we bought in great condition. This one, and it's pair, is for the ladies.
This photo will be upgraded once the current refurbishment of the bike is completed. This is representative of how it should look.
A smaller steel frame for younger and shorter ladies.
A lighter aluminium frame but still the same Koga quality.
A upright and comfortable frame made from aluminium.
An aluminium framed bike for men who prefer a more upright riding style.
An upright bike for those who prefer a more relaxed ride. This one is crafted from aluminium making it a little lighter than some of steel-framed bikes.
Did our buyer fail to notice the N in the name. This is a converted mountain bike that has been used for touring. It is a smaller frame and that makes it suitable for younger and less tall riders.
This is a steel-framed mountain bike with 24 inch wheels which has been converted for touring. Sadly Koga do not produce bikes for kids so we have to look at other options.
The guide's bike. A proverbial tank which is super heavy steel and strong and has seen many miles on Europe's roads. A surprisingly inexpensive bike, although it has admittedly been completely rebuilt and fitted with better Shimano components.
